Hollywood Farmers Market

When: Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Must Visit Stands: Jaze Woodwork, The Ridiculous Baking Company, EMG Farms – Fresh Shell Fish
Almost as iconic as the Hollywood sign itself, the Hollywood Farmers Market has been a great spot to shop for fresh food for 25 years. Over 160 farmers, producers, and ranchers come from all over California every Sunday selling a variety of goods. Some of Southern California’s best chefs can be seen shopping at the Hollywood Farmers Market.
Most stands accept EBT money, WIC, and Senior Market Nutrition Program checks. Parking is available at the Sunset & Vine garage for $5, and on-street parking is available.
Silver Lake Farmers Market

This farmers market has everything except for the kitchen sink. Whether you are looking for food, vintage clothing and jewelry, or even stones or rocks, this farmers market has something that you would be interested in. Despite being in one of LA’s hippest neighborhoods, you’ll have plenty of room to do your shopping. Be sure to grab a meal while you are here, as there are a variety of unique vendors that can serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Pasadena Farmers Market

Must Visit Stands: Dave’s Korean BBQ, Gourmet Jerky, Ha’s Apple Farm
Bring your own bags to this one; there are plenty of stands to do a whole week’s worth of grocery shopping! The Pasadena Farmers Market is an active member of the California Federation of Certified Farmers’ Markets, meeting rigorous standards set by the state. Whether you are looking to stock up on fruits and vegetables, or are looking for specialty items like jams and jerky, you can find it here. Their site also features a chart for when fruits or vegetables are at their ripest, and when you can find them at the market.
Studio City Farmers Market

When: Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Must Visit Stands: Mama Musubi Gourmet Rice Balls, Sweet Tree Farms, Ice Ice Shavie
This one is just a five-minute drive for residents of Vineland Gardens. The Studio City Farmers Market has received national coverage from Parents Magazine as one of the best farmers markets for kids in the entire country, and a petting zoo, face painting, and a whole kids play area. You’ll also find not only organic fruits vegetables, grass fed meats, jams, cheese, butter, and whey. Parking can be found right by Chase Bank and the CBS Studios.
