Fun Activities Near Your Irvine Apartment Rental

The beautiful parks, lakes, and views that are highlighted during the summer will take your breath away and make it easy to stay fit without straying too far from your apartment. Here are some great places to get outside to hike, bike or enjoy water activities without leaving Irvine. The best part? Most of them are free to visit and are located near the MCAS Miramar Marine Corps Base.
William R. Mason Regional Park

Gather the whole family and spend the day at William R. Mason Regional Park. Not only does the park have flawless scenic views, but with its nine-acre lake, several biking and hiking areas, and sporting fields, everyone will have something to do. Parking is only $3 on the weekdays and it is only a one-time fee. On scheduled days, there are also concerts in the parks amphitheater with music genres for everyone.
Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park

This Park features approximately 4,500 acres of open space with natural plants and streams, that peaceful bike ride is just calling your name. While this park is a wildlife preserve, you can also see different types of trees such as oaks, sycamores, and elderberries. Parking fee is only $3 but your blissful hike is priceless.
Irvine Regional Park

Irvine’s hometown park is definitely one for the books. The natural scenery that holds several varieties of trees and flowers has a lot more to offer than your average everyday park. Built-in barbeques and picnic tables are open to the public for their family cookouts as well as softball fields and three unique playgrounds. While you are enjoying your day taking in the beautiful scenery, be sure to take children on the daily pony rides offered by the Lakeside Snack Bar.
San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in the wetlands of Irvine, this wildlife preserve has over 120 species of animals for visitors to gaze. The wheelchair friendly hiking trail has up to 10 miles of natural ponds and plants relative to the flood plain of San Diego Creek. Some of the many diverse species that inhabit this trail are hawks, roadrunners, hummingbirds, and plenty more. Admission is free and open throughout the daytime. This wildlife preserve is close to Elements, one of our brand new apartment communities.
